Library Membership

The Killaloe & District Public Library is a community resource that promotes reading, research and lifelong learning.

We offer our programs and services to the residents and visitors of the following municipalities:

  • Killaloe, Hagarty & Richards
  • Brudenell, Lyndoch & Raglan
  • Bonnechere Valley
  • North Algona Wilberforce

 

Becoming A Member

To get a library card, you will need to visit the Killaloe & District Public Library with valid and current name and address identification. Membership is free to residents or ratepayers of Killaloe, Hagarty & Richards (KHR), Brudenell, Lyndoch & Raglan (BLR), Bonnechere Valley (BV), and North Algona Wilberforce (NAW). If you own a cottage or any property in one of these townships, there will be no charge for your membership, but you must provide proof that you own property or reside in this township.

Non-Residents
If you are a non-resident, (i.e. not from any of the above townships) you can still apply to be a member of the library for a fee of $30 per year or $10 for 3 months.

 

Loan Times and Fines

Books, audio books, CDs and magazines can be borrowed for three weeks; videos and DVDs for one week.

Late Fines:
$1 per day for DVDs and CDs, 25¢ per day for books, audio books, and magazines.

 

Renewing Items

You can renew your items as long as there are no reserves. All items can be renewed except for new books in the library. You can renew your items during operating hours, either by phone (613-757-2211) or in person.
